Save Space with Stackable Plastic Pallets
Warehouses save space using stackable plastic pallets. No storage or racking equipment required. These heavy-duty pallets are built to support hefty loads stacked on the floor. 43x43 plastic pallets are commonly used for Super Sack® handling. The square shape allows big bags of granular and chemical products to be double stacked before leaving the warehouse for export to Asia.
As the name implies, double stacking doubles the floor space available in storage facilities and transport vehicles. Fewer trucks on the road and more product in the same space adds up to savings.
Always be sure to follow safe pallet stacking procedures for maximum stability to reduce the risk of tipping. Besides worker injury, broken bags of pharmaceuticals, food additives, animal feed, polymers, fertilizers, sand and more cost money to clean up and introduce workplace hazards.
Like double stacking, block stacking is a storage method that takes advantage of the higher capacity ratings found in stackable plastic pallets. Loaded pallets are stacked one on top of the other in a block until reaching a safe height.
A safe stack does not allow for any load crushing and stands straight. A block stack of plastic pallets also needs to provide clearance for entry by forklifts for moving unit loads in the stack.
