For internal use. One thing it does tell you: new plastic pallets carry a manufacturer code here; used/reconditioned pallets always start with UP. You don't need the prefix to search or order.

Dimensions

The common, rounded footprint: two 2-digit pairs representing length × width in inches. Metric pallets are often grouped under the closest equivalent US size — a 1200×1000 mm pallet may be listed as 4840 rather than 1210. When in doubt, check the product specs for exact measurements.

Base Design
N
Describes the bottom structure of the pallet — how it sits, stacks, and interacts with forklifts, conveyors, and rack systems.
All base types
- N Nestable — Hollow feet (typically 9) allow pallets to sit inside each other when empty. Best for return shipping efficiency.
- FP Full Perimeter — Base runs all four sides of the bottom deck, with or without additional interior runners (4-, 5-, 6-, or 8-runner). Maximum stability and rack support.
- 3R 3-Runner — Three parallel stringers, entry from two directions. Common on conveyors and inline rack systems.
- RV Reversible — Top and bottom decks are nearly identical; either side can face up.
- 6F 6 Feet — Six individual block feet; not nestable. Uncommon.

What may be encoded here
- HeightProfile height (mm) — included when notably high or low, and on most used pallets to group same-height lots

- Mfg nameLegacy manufacturer name so common it stuck (e.g. CPP330)
- LipTop deck has a raised lip to contain cargo
- Solid topClosed / solid top deck (open decks are usually not called out)
- FDAVirgin materials meeting FDA/USDA guidelines — typically blue in color
- MiscAnything else unique: color, reinforcement, use case (e.g. chemical, spill containment)
